Over $250,000,000 in private and public investment is being deployed in Downtown Roanoke in projects that are transforming the local economy. Downtown housing options have increased over 40% during the past 9 months. Downtown office occupancy is at 92% for all classes of space within a 2.5 million square foot market. Center in the Square is undergoing a $29 million renovation. The City of Roanoke is investing $10 million to renovate the City Market Building. Energy-efficient rehabilitation activities are being completed on the Poff Federal Building.

This VDDA Hot Topic Luncheon lecture is planned in cooperation with Downtown Roanoke, Incorporated and the City of Roanoke. The lecture and lunch will be in the Roanoke Higher Education Center's Claude Moore Building, a LEED Gold facility. Participants will enjoy a professional networking luncheon as well as a walking tour of Downtown Roanoke.
